Categories : Special Awards / LEED & WELL in interior design : Gold Winner
Accredited with the Gold WELLv2 Building Institute seal, a first in Canada, BNP Paribas Montréal’s offices are transforming employee well-being. Spanning 6 floors, the team designed a modern work environment featuring flexible workspaces, mobility, and employee collaboration.
A UNIQUE AND CREATIVE ENVIRONMENT The WELL certification promotes the concept of circadian lighting, based on the rhythm of human biological functioning from day to night.
To create suitable natural and adapted conditions, the team used a variety of formats to produce a dispersed lighting ambiance, while ensuring a relaxed atmosphere. All spaces are designed as an engaging work tool, promoting the comfort and well-being of employees. Green walls have been integrated and installed on each floor in the relaxation and collaboration spaces. Incorporating such living walls, the streamlined contemporary style inspires a strong sense of community for the occupants, in addition to a lively workplace.
The project has generated and melded ideas, while also improving quality of life. Provencher_Roy hosted competitions for interior design students to design office spaces, in addition to inviting 4 different artists to personalize each floor with their mural art. The creativity and authenticity of the new spaces have since sparked a wave of warmth, interest, and pride amongst employees.
